Chad Johnson heads up the company and started out in the concert industry in South Africa in 1995 after which he moved to Australia to work with some of the top eventing companies in Sydney for a period of two years. Upon returning to South Africa, he took up a job as the marketing manager of one of the largest lighting companies in Africa, where he built on his knowledge for a period of five years. Seeing an opportunity to close the gap between the client and the eventing industry, Ground Control Eventing was created early in 2001 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.
